Cara Hansen, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist

Cara has a BS in Sociology from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Social Work from Valdosta State University. She has vast experience working in both acute inpatient and outpatient settings. Cara specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and families who are struggling with variety of issues, whether substance abuse and/or mental health concerns.

Cara identifies and addresses her client’s concerns by utilizing the appropriate evidence-based therapies. She is well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. Cara works to create a non-judgmental environment so you can feel comfortable and empowered to work through difficult issues. She believes you have the power to make changes in your own life, and wants to work collaboratively alongside you during challenging times. Cara is currently available evenings and weekends, and when not working, enjoys spending time with her family and walks on the beach with her puppy.
